Grizzly And Wolf Discovery Center LogoThe Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone will celebrate International Migratory Bird Day on May 8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The celebration will include special programs featuring two live raptors programs, a presentation on the birds of Yellowstone by Yellowstone National Park ranger Katy Duffy, kids games and arts and crafts.

Admission to the event is free, with admission to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center to see the bears and wolves at regular adult and children’s fees.

International Migratory Bird Day, is the only international education program that highlights and celebrates the migration of nearly 350 species of migratory birds between nesting habitats in North America and non-breeding grounds in Latin America, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Early birds can join a ranger-led bird watching car caravan along the Madison River in Yellowstone National Park. Meet at the picnic area at Madison Junction by 8 a.m.
