I woke this morning before dawn at the invitation of my colleague and pilot Nick Wolcott for a morning flight over Bozeman.

We met at 6:30 a.m. in Bozeman and were in the air within an hour, looking down as the morning light just began to pour over the Bridger Mountains.

We made our way east from the city, over the pass and toward Livingston before turning south into Paradise Valley. The Yellowstone River shined below, lined by wheat fields and crop circles.

Our trip found its end just north of Gardiner with a fly-by of Electric Peak. The shear rock walls look even more impressive from the sky.

We turned back and flew west over Trail Creek to Bozeman as the sun lifted higher into the sky.

A big shout out to Wolcott for the aerial expertise!

Hope you enjoy the photos.
